Products Section Structure

The Products section is divided into several parts which will be described in this manual.

Table of products

The table on the left shows a list with all the products that are loaded in Quant. In the table you can see several properties for each product. You can of course rearrange the table as you wish (change the order of the columns, hide some columns, or add new columns that you don't see in the table).

If you select any product in the table, you will see all its properties.

Basic Properties

In the Basic Properties tab you can find:

  • uneditable product view (product image) - 4 different views (front, left, top and e-shop) for each product
  • editable product properties - these are basic properties for the product such as primary ID, product name, supplier, brand, price, etc. You can edit all these properties for a given product by clicking on the row and entering a new value.
  • non-editable product properties - these are greyed out and are properties that are set by Quant itself, such as Last Change or Modified By.
Basic properties

The features you will find here are, for example:

  • Primary product ID - unique product code, mandatory for each product
  • Name
  • Supplier
  • Brand
  • Planogramming - if you want the product to be able to be displayed on planograms, this box must be checked. Otherwise, it will not appear in the Project Editor or Planogram Editor when inserting products into the template.
  • Pricing - Basic Sales, Original or Club Price

The properties you fill in here are the same for all stores. For example, if you fill in that the Basic Sales Price of a product is 30 CZK, this means that this product is sold for 30 CZK in all stores. Store specific properties are set in the Store Specific Properties tab.

Package

One product can have several different packages. For example, a product is sometimes displayed individually and sometimes in a carton. The Packages tab always displays a list with all packages for a given product and the properties of each of these packages.

Package

The properties you will find here are, for example:

  • Number of basic units - this is the number of pieces in a given package. For example, yoghurt can be sold individually (the number of basic units is 1) or in a family pack of 4 (here the number of basic units is 4).
  • Measurements (width, height, depth) - these are the dimensions of the chosen package. Measurements are a crucial piece of information that you need to record in Quant if you want to create planograms.
  • Links to images - in case you have product images available e.g. on your e-shop, you only need to send a link to this image to Quant, from which Quant can then download the image.
Properties of a package

There are several features in the editable image preview:

  • Change - allows you to upload an image from your computer.
  • Update image from web - if you have uploaded a link to the product, you need to click this button to upload the image from the web. You can also do this action in bulk for multiple tagged products.
  • Rotate - allows you to rotate the image.
  • Crop - you can crop the image if it includes a background. It can also be set to a transparent background. Quant also allows you to crop images in bulk if you have several products tagged.
  • Copy - copies the image to the clipboard.
  • Paste - pastes the image from the clipboard.
  • Remove - removes the image.
  • History - shows a window with all historical image states for the product. This can be useful if, for example, you crop the image wrong and want to upload the original image back.

Store Specific Properties

Some properties may take on different values for different stores. A typical example would be the inventory of a store. The same product will have different stock in different stores. In the Store Specific Properties tab, you can set properties for selected product-store combinations.

The properties you can find here are, for example:

  • Prices (Basic Sales, Original, Club)
  • Stock Level and Stock on the Way
  • Properties related to Ordering
