Store Document Template

The Store Document Template is used to plan the document design for PDF export, e.g. from the Store Editor or from Floor Plan section on the  Quant web.

The store document template consists of different pages. As an example, a typical PDF can start with a page with a store floor plan. This is followed by a page with an overview table with all fixtures placed in the store with detailed information (measurements, fixture type, number of shelves...). This is followed by detailed previews for each fixture located in the floor plan.

We manage the pages in the Document Template Editor on the right side on the Pages tab. This tab consists of several sub-tabs representing specific document units (Store Start, Segment and Store End) where specific document pages are later created.

It is not necessary to use all the subtabs that Quant offers. However, it is also possible to create multiple pages in each subtab if needed.

How to add a new page?

  1. On the Pages tab, select the tab to which you want to add a new page.
  2. Click on the + button to add a new page.
  3. You can then set the page properties.

Adding a new pageYou can copy or remove the created page. If you have multiple pages in one tab, you can change their order using the up and down arrows.Editing pages

Page properties
    • Name: Set the name of the page here. This is especially useful if you have more than one page in one tab, so you know at a glance which page it is. Otherwise, this name is shown nowhere.
    • Paper: Here you can choose the size of the paper, or its orientation in portrait or landscape.
    • Margins: You can set the top, bottom, left and right margins of the page.

Page properties

In the following part of the manual you will find an overview of all available pages and a description of what they are used for.

Store Start

These are pages related to a store as a whole. Insert here all the pages that should be related to the whole store and should appear before the pages related to the specific segment. These can be:

    • page with store floor plan (Floor Plan component)
    • floor plan highlights (Floor Plan component)
    • a table with an overview of all placed fixtures (Fixture table component)

Store Start - Floor Plan

Store Start - Fixture Overview Table

Segment

It is one specific segment = fixture. Insert here all the pages that are to be related to only one specific segment. It can be:

  • fixture preview (Fixture component)

Each segment (fixture) for which a PDF is downloaded will have its own page corresponding to the design in the Segment tab.

Segment - fixture preview

Store End

Again, these are pages related to the store. Insert here all the pages that should be related to the whole store and should appear after the pages related to the specific segment.

Let's go back to our example from the introduction. We want to create a PDF containing 3 parts:

  1. Store Floor Plan = create the first page on the Store Start subtab, to which we add the Floor Plan component.

Floor plan

  1. Overview table with all placed fixtures = we will create a second page on the Store Start subtab, to which we will add the Fixture Table component.

Fixture table

  1. Preview of a specific segment (fixture) = we create a page on the Segment subtab, to which we add the Fixture component.
