Task Priorities

Task prioritization is used to determine the level of importance of a particular task. Prioritization helps the user to navigate tasks more easily and understand the importance of each task at any given time.

You can find the priority settings in the Task Settings section in the Task Priorities subsection. Here you can set up custom priorities according to your requirements, and specify a color, priority level, name and abbreviation for them.

How to create a new priority?

  1. Click on New button, under Task Settings / Task Priorities.
  2. Then set the properties in the right panel.

Priority properties

  • Name: Fill in the name of the priority - preferably one that shows its importance.
  • Shortcut: This text will be displayed on the icon. This is usually the first letter of the priority name.
  • Priority: Here, numerically define the priority level, where 0 is the lowest and 100 is the highest. So the most important priority should have the highest value.
  • Color: Determines the color of the priority icon on the web. In our example, the most important priority is shown in red. For example, the task that is the least important will be white. However, you can choose any color you like.
  • Font Color: The colour of the shortcut in the icon.

Priorities on web

The task table on the site is sorted by status, priority and date. Therefore, the tasks with the highest priority will not always be at the top of the table. However, you can always sort the table by the priority column.
