Quant Shelf Label Management Brings More Advanced Automation

Keeping shelf labels accurate and up to date across all stores can be rather time consuming, particularly for larger networks carrying large number of products. Recognizing the impact of automation in this process, we decided to improve our Shelf label management solution to include more options for automation in order to make the process of shelf label creation and changes in Quant even easier than it already was.

Shelf Labels in Quant

With the category level setting of shelf label type and the new category wide Relevant and Preferred Custom Product Attributes, the whole product group can have a fully customized shelf label setting tailored to your specific needs. This allows for much easier configuration process compared to having to configure each product shelf label manually.

Within the custom product attributes options, you can select the product attributes to be displayed on the price tag for a given category, such as country of origin, colour or product variants, as well as the order in which these attributes will be displayed. These attributes can then be easily added to the price tag using the “Attributes Table” element.

Updates to the Shelf Label Editor

We have improved the Shelf Label Editor to be more user-friendly and optimised it for ease of use, including when setting up shelf label templates for a category. In the left panel of the Editor, you’ll now find well organised toolbar, and on the right side,  the Properties, Measurements, and Component tabs have been added. These tab allow you to easily set the relevant price tag properties, such as the format and parameters of your selected price tag component. Another new tab, Structure, provides an overview of the components currently included in the shelf label.

Shelf Label Template Types

The ability to set up price tag template types for all the price types that are being used will save time to all retailers, especially those in industries with rapidly changing promotional offers. By default, Quant comes with the following price tag types preset: Default, Action (promotional price), Club, and Action & Club; however, it is also possible to create your own price tag types, for example, for products supplied by a specific supplier. Shelf label template types are governed by rules, known as product conditions. For instance, the default promotional price tag type is by default applied if a product has both a sales price and an original price greater than zero, and the original price is higher than the current sales price. These product conditions can be configured according to your specific requirements. The priority of the individual price tag template types is also fully customisable. However, if you have already set up shelf labels for your products in Quant, your existing settings will be preserved and have been automatically converted to the new system to match your original configuration.

Shelf Labels Rules

Product image as Store Specific Product Attribute

Considering that in some industries, shelf labels may sometimes vary in terms of appearance even between different stores within the same network and region, we have introduced the option to add an image as a new store-specific product attribute. This feature allows you to set shelf labels with additional information, such as specific service details of promotional offers, only in stores offering these services or promotions, while shelf labels in stores not offering these services or promotions will not be affected.
