Floor Planning
Stores
The manual briefly describes how you can create a new store.
Uploading a technical plan facilitates later drawing of the floor plan.
It is possible to insert various types of components into the Store Editor, such as fixtures, cash desks, walls or texts. This manual describes how to insert individual components into the store floor plan.
Components may be moved, copied or rotated in the floor plan. This manual provides an overview of the actions used to manipulate components in the Store Editor.
In the Store Editor, you often need to select one or more objects in floor plan. This manual shows the tool that allows you to select objects, and describes the different selection options.
Category variants help to distinguish the fixture with the same category within one store and create a different planogram for each of them. At the same time, it may happen that you have equipment in another store whose planograms should be the same as those in the first store. Then you will set the same category variant for this equipment such as the ones within the first store and it is not necessary to re-create the planograms.
You can specify which shelves will share the same planogram template using category variants. Which category variant labels you choose depends on your corporate strategy. There are 4 basic options described in this manual.
The Ordered Selection tool in the Store Editor helps you make bulk edits for fixtures. Using a simply drawn arrow above the fixture, you can set certain attributes for the fixture below the arrow.
You can link the created planogram with the fixtures in the store floor plan.
The created master planograms must be linked to the fixtures in the floor plan, which will determine the exact position where you want to display the planograms. The master planogram is then adjusted according to the dimensions and number of linked fixtures and also according to the sales data of the specific store. In this manual, we will show you how to link a planogram to a fixture and other linking settings.
In the Store Editor, you will find a tool that allows you to automatically assign selected categories to your chosen fixtures. Categories are assigned based on sales data to achieve maximum sales potential.
In some situations, it is useful to work with multiple fixture segments at once. If you set up a section in Quant, you can then view it in the Project Editor preview of several fixtures at once and create planograms for them.
Using floorplan highlights, you can display various information on the fixtures in the floorplan of the store, such as categories, space or sales share of categories, fixture or shelf properties, and more. At the same time, you can set different floorplan highlights for different user groups.
In the Store Editor, you can calculate the area or circumference of drawn objects (e.g. rectangles). This feature can be useful when you need to determine the size of a certain part of a floor plan.
In this manual an overview of shortcuts used in the Store Editor is provided. Using these short- cuts considerably expedites work in Quant.
We have many pre-defined store properties in Quant that may not be sufficient for your needs. If you don't find all required properties in the Store tab, you can easily create your own properties.
In Quant, stores are classified into logical groups for easier orientation and work with them. For example, you can create a group of all stores that are located in one region. Then you can assign the group to the manager who should manage the stores in the region.
If you have your store drawn in CAD using block libraries, you can import the store fixtures corresponding to the blocks in your library into Quant and save yourself the time of re-drawing individual components in Quant.
