Planogramming
Standalone Planograms
This manual describes how to create a new standalone planogram.
To be able to create a planogram you need to define the measurements of the fixture, number of shelves and other important attributes.
This manual shows how you can fill your planogram with products.
The Planogram Editor is divided into several sections and tabs, which we will describe in detail in this manual.
You can set various properties for the inserted block in the template, such as the number of pieces placed in width or height, position, rotation, and more. These adjustments will be described in this manual.
Product nesting is used in situations where you need to display two different products one behind or on top of the other.
In the planogram template you place the products with which you want to fill the planogram. To the left of the template and the planogram preview is the toolbar, where you will find all the functions that may be useful when creating a planogram. Also above the planogram template are several features that will make your work easier.
Blocks in the Template can be marked with various signs. Each sign has a specific meaning and provides information about a particular property of the block.
In the tabs described in this manual, you can monitor the products placed in the planogram template. For example, you can easily find out which products are placed in the planogram and in what quantity, which products were not placed from the template into the final planogram, or how efficiently you have allocated the space in the planogram.
Some planograms require a more complex display that is not entirely easy to plan through a classic planogram template. In these situations, it helps to use the Free Style planogram mode, which allows you to insert products directly into the planogram and simply specify exactly where the product should be placed.
You can move, copy, rotate, etc. products or other components in the planogram. This manual provides an overview of the actions used to manipulate products or other components in a free style planogram.
Section templates allow you to use one planogram template for an entire fixture section. So all products for the entire section are inserted into one template and then flow from one fixture to the next.
Planogram highlighting allows you to display various properties on products in the planogram, whether they are product properties or information about sales of individual products or space. It also allows you to highlight product groups (e.g., by supplier, brand, etc.) and show a planogram heat map based on the selected sales indicator.
Graphic banners are an essential part of accurately visualizing the planogram on fixtures. By inserting graphic images, you can create a precise preview of the planned planogram.
You can import a planogram into Quant from a CSV (or XLSX) file using the Import Planogram from Table option. If you have a CSV file that contains a list of products including their exact position in the planogram, the following procedure allows you to create a planogram quickly and easily, based on the data from the table.
You can export the planogram to Excel, where you’ll see not only an image of the planogram but also the products it contains. You can customize the appearance of all the tables in the exported file, choosing which attributes to display, the table’s color, and so on.
