Polls Notifications
Notifications of polls are intended to inform the user of the fact that a new poll has been published on the web interface or that the deadline by which the poll needs to be completed will soon expire.
In the Notification – Polls tab two notifications can be set:
- New Polls - inform about new published poll
- Reminder - reminds of the upcoming deadline by which the poll should be answered
For detailed information on the notification settings, see the Notification Settings manual.
New Polls
Here the user can set the notification that will inform the user of the fact that a new poll to which the user has not answered yet was published on the web.
Criteria
- Append Last Post’s Heading into Subject – in the subject line of the notification sent by e-mail the name of the poll will be attached.
- Send Individual Email for Every Poll
- Marked = The user will be notified not only of the latest poll but for every newly published poll a separate notification will be sent.
- Not marked = The user will always receive a notification of only the last published poll. If 2 polls have been published since the last notification, the notification will inform the user only about the last poll.

The notification of a new poll can be initiated also manually using the Send Notifications button in the Polls tab. In this case the notification will be initiated for all polls newly created as of the last sent notification. In the case that the “Send Individual Email for Every Poll” checkbox is not marked, the notification will be sent only for the last published poll.
The notification will be delivered only to the user who has not answered the poll yet.
Reminder
This notification is used as a caution for respondents who have not answered the poll yet in the case that the deadline by which the poll should be completed is going to expire soon.
The notification has sense only if you set Answer Term for the polls that identifies the deadline by which the respondent must answer to the poll.
Criteria
- Append Heading into Subject – the subject line of the notification sent by e-mail will have attached name of the poll whose deadline is going to expire.
- Number of Days before Reminding – here you set the number of days before the Answer Term when the notification should be sent. In this case 2 days are set, which means that the notification will be sent on 15 September as the Answer Term is set at 17 September.
- Send Repeatedly
- Marked – the notification will be sent every day and every hour set in the notification until the respondent answers the poll.
- Not marked – the notification will be sent only once, which means that the repeated cautions will not be sent.
