Looking back at QuantCON 2025
QuantCON 2025 is behind us, and we would like to share the most significant moments and main impressions from the conference, which revolves around Quant and its Czech and Slovak users every year.
We are delighted that this year's attendance broke previous records and that we met representatives from more than 10 companies using Quant on the domestic market.
Quant is developing at an incredible pace, so one of our main goals was to present and remind conference participants of the most significant new features we have introduced to the platform over the past year. Given that we add an average of more than one feature per day, it was not easy to prepare a selection for the presentation.
Nikola Popílková, Head of Sales | Quant Retail, ultimately divided the presentation of new features into three separate blocks due to the great interest of the participants and the number of questions, and it was great for us to see how happy users were about how each new feature will save them time or enable them to carry out processes that they previously did not have time for due to their complexity.
Automation of new planogram creation
One of the main reasons why Quant Retail has become a global leader in the field of retail space planning software in recent years is our unique approach to automating planogram creation using Quant AI.
Users in Quant create visual rules within templates, based on which Quant then generates hundreds or thousands of optimized planograms tailored to each specific store. Among other things, it takes into account sales and logistics data, store floor plans, and information about promotions and events.
Petr Kavánek, CEO | Quant Retail, presented the main improvements and tricks for automating planogram creation using templates and rules, as well as a completely new approach to automation within the so-called Free Style Planograms, during his presentation on the first day of QuantCON.
Free Style Planograms are a key tool, especially for our clients operating in fashion retail. However, they can be used in all categories where there is a strong emphasis on visual merchandising and product placement is not regular on shelves. Quant can now also use Free Style Planogram as a template to create optimized planograms for individual stores based on product similarity and availability.
Automatic updates of finished planograms
Having an effective tool for creating optimized planograms is great, but if the planograms we create become outdated within a few days due to outages, frequent new product launches, or flyer promotions, much of our effort will be wasted.
That's why Quant includes a module for automatic planogram updates that uses Quant's artificial intelligence. With its help, planograms for individual stores are adjusted in real time or as often as users wish to reflect current availability, mandatory display requirements, promotions, and logistical constraints.
Petra Göbelová, Head of Direct Support | Quant Retail, presented several of the most useful scenarios in which automatic planogram updates help our customers in practice. Given that this is a feature that most conference participants already use or plan to implement in the near future, the presentation was very well received, and the topic of automatic planogram updates resonated strongly during specialized workshops held over the following days.
Case study: Lagardère Travel Retail
The highlight of the first day for us was a customer presentation by Miroslav Randáček from Lagardère Travel Retail, who shared a mini case study on the use of Quant for Relay stores.
In addition to the long-term use of space planning, we were very pleased to hear about the successful pilot of our automatic replenishment and the fact that Lagardère also uses one of our latest features, which is artificial intelligence-based photo verification of planogram implementation.
Evening concerts
The evening of the first day was enlivened by Petra Göbelová and her band. Petra is not only our colleague, but also a great singer-songwriter, and we are very pleased that she accepted our invitation to play with her band despite the demanding conference program. The opportunity to enjoy live music was also available on the second evening, when Lucie Kavánková played three of her own songs in addition to songs by well-known artists.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
The second day of the program began with a presentation by Pavla Řehořová, Head of Demand Planning R&D | Quant Retail. Pavla focused on Demand Planning and Forecasting, another of the main pillars of the Quant platform.
Even the best planograms won't help us much if we can't get the right products to stores at the right time. If products are missing from the shelves, we lose not only short-term sales but also the long-term loyalty of our customers.
One of the main advantages of automatic replenishment implemented directly in Quant is its built-in integration with complete space planning data. Planograms and orders do not conflict with each other, as is often the case in practice, but complement each other perfectly. Pavla Řehořová demonstrated this fact using several real-life scenarios.
The presentation was very well received, and several of our customers decided to start testing Quant Demand Planning. The results of implementing this module in practice are truly excellent, whether in supermarkets, fashion retail, or pet stores.
Advanced store layout management, CAD integration, and 3D
Our consultant Denisa Urbanová then presented the huge progress Quant has made as a CAD tool. Thanks to the new option of importing DWG format, existing technical drawings of stores can be converted into Quant layouts with many specialized tools for retail.
Integration with planograms, highlights, capacity calculations for individual categories, creation of digital 3D store twins, efficient planning of store renovations and new stores. All this and much more is now offered by Quant Floor Planning in conjunction with advanced 3D and DWG integration.
Task Management and Store Checks at LKQ
LKQ implemented Quant in 2017 and has since expanded its use far beyond space planning, which was the original reason for starting with Quant. Linda Michaličková, who has contributed significantly to the success of the Quant project at LKQ from the very beginning, shared her long-term experience with integrated Task Management and Forms with us. These Quant modules have enabled LKQ to create not only a high-quality helpdesk for stores, but also to improve the processes of planogram implementation control and store checks.
Renata Dohnalová, Head of Content | Quant Retail, followed up with an overview of new features and improvements in Task Management and Shelf Image Recognition.
Workshops and plans for the future
The conference concluded with specialized workshops, during which we had the opportunity to delve deeper into specific topics and address specific questions and scenarios from our users.
The feedback, ideas, open discussion, and practical experience we regularly gain during QuantCON are a great source of inspiration for us and help us shape our priorities for the coming year.
Every year, we make last-minute adjustments to the final presentation on our plans for the future, and several new points appear.
It is very important to us that we create tools that meet real needs. Not just features, but comprehensive solutions. We are grateful for the great cooperation with our customers, thanks to which the Quant platform is still a living system, and we thank everyone for their participation.
