Bulk Editing of Fixtures

In the Fixtures in Stores section, you can filter the fixtures by certain properties and edit their properties in bulk.

What bulk actions can you perform in the Fixtures in Stores section?

How to edit multiple fixtures in bulk?

  1. In the Fixtures in Stores section, filter the fixtures you want to bulk edit in the table and mark it.
  2. Click on the Edit Marked button.
  3. In the new window, select exactly what you want to bulk edit.
  4. Click on the Next button. The next steps vary depending on the selected bulk action.

Edit Marked

You have started designing the first stores and have created the first fixture types to be stored in your library. However, you find out that this fixture type is not designed correctly (e.g. it has a different shelf height). You adjust it in your fixture library, but it does not apply to the fixtures that are already placed in the stores. In this case, you filter the fixture type in the Fixtures in Stores section, mark the filtered fixtures, and use the Edit Marked button to make a bulk adjustment for shelf heights.

Bulk Actions

If you use the Edit Marked button, in the next step you have to choose which bulk action you want to perform.

Edit Properties

This option allows you to modify general fixture properties that are set in the Store Editor on the Component / Fixture tab. These are general fixture properties such as categoriy, dimensions, section properties, automatic shelf heights, planogram position or custom fixture properties. The exception is the Category Variant property, which has its own bulk action.

Edit Shelves

This way you can modify the properties of individual shelves (e.g. dimensions, hanging system, own category) or you can add or remove shelves.

When editing shelves in bulk, you must choose the extent of the changes you want to make:

  • Exact Match of All Shelves: Unifies the shelves of all marked fixtures. If you select several fixtures with different numbers of shelves, after the bulk edit, all fixtures will have the same number of shelves, that is displayed in the fixture preview during the bulk edit.

Exact Match of All Shelves unifies the number and dimensions of shelves for all edited fixtures.

  • Selected Shelves: This option allows you to edit only the properties of the selected shelves, not the number of shelves. The property will only change for the shelves you mark in the right part of the window.

We've marked 3 fixtures. Fixture A has 7 shelves, Fixture B has 6 shelves and Fixture C has 5 shelves. We want to change the height of the 6th shelf. After the action is performed, the change will only affect fixtures A and B, fixture C will remain unchanged because it has only 5 shelves.

Change Category Variant

You can use this option to modify category variants in bulk for marked fixtures. Use this feature if, for example, you want to change the logic of the category variants you use. For example, 1/3 to 1, 2/3 to 2, etc.

When changing category variants, you select the category for which you want to modify the variant in the first step. So you can have fixtures with a different category marked in the table, the changes will only affect the category you select here.

Change Category Variant Suffix

With this feature, you can only change the category variant suffix (e.g. change 1/6S to 1/6P).

If you select the All Suffixes checkbox, the suffixes will change for all marked fixtures to the value you type in the New Suffix field.

If you do not select the All Suffixes checkbox, enter the old suffix in the Original Suffix field and then the new suffix in the New Suffix field. Quant will only change the suffix for marked fixtures that have the original suffix you filled in.

This function allows you to set or remove pictograms on marked fixtures in bulk. In the window you choose the pictograms and the action you want to perform:

    • Remove: Removes the marked pictogram for the marked fixtures.
    • Set Exactly: Sets the marked pictogram for the marked fixtures. If a pictogram has already been assigned to the fixture, it will be deleted and the fixture will only have this new pictogram assigned.
