Category Sequence
In the Store Editor, you will find a tool that allows you to automatically assign selected categories to your chosen fixtures. Categories are assigned based on sales data to achieve maximum sales potential.
This tool is particularly useful when opening new stores or during rebuildings, when you need to assign categories to individual fixtures while taking into account the sales potential of each category so that categories with higher sales potential have more space in the floor plan than categories with lower sales potential.
The tool works with sales data and takes into account the results of the Space and Sales and Sales Potential analyses.
Set Category Sequence
In order to use this tool, you must have sales data set up for the given store in the Store / Sales Data Settings menu.
Sales Data Settings
You can find out how to set sales data for a store in the Sales Data Settings in the Store Editor manual.
How do you assign categories using the Set Category Sequence tool?
- Activate the Set Category Sequence (H) tool.
- Draw an Ordered Selection = an arrow that crosses all fixtures to which you want to assign categories, in the order in which the categories are to be assigned.
- In the Tool tab, set the categories you want to assign in the correct order. Set additional properties if necessary.

Other Settings
Change Customer Direction
If the checkbox is marked, then the direction of the arrow drawn as the ordered selection will change the customer direction set on the fixture.
Sales Type
Select whether you want to allocate categories to fixtures based on benchmark sales data (average calculated from the sales sets selected in the Benchmark Sales Data row in the Sales Data Settings) or on the sales data for the given store (Store Specific Sales Data in the Sales Data Settings).
Rank or Value Type
Here you select the sales indicator according to which the floor plan should be optimized. Whether it should be, for example, sold pieces, profit, turnover, or other sales indicators.

Facing Multiplication
These are multiples of pieces displayed in width. In order for Quant to determine how much space to allocate to each category, set here how many pieces to width should count for each product with non-zero sales.
Minimum Display Width
This is the minimum width that the product should occupy. This can be useful if we do not know the dimensions of some products or if they are too small and we want to define a minimum for them.
Facing Multiplication and Minimum Display Width
You can save the category sequence tool settings in the library for reuse.
