Automatic Replacements - Store Settings
For each store, you need to set whether Quant should automatically generate replacements or not.
Select the store for which you want to set up automatic replacements, and on the right side, in the Properties tab, you will find the Replacements section, which contains two attributes:
- Respect Product Ranges - a product range is a group of similar products (the meaning of similar varies across industries, it can be similarity in product type, price, different features, etc.) at one level. It is set in the product properties and in the Category Settings in the stores. You specify it using a number, where 1 is the lowest range. If this box is checked and you have product ranges set up in Quant, only products of the same or lower range will be offered within the replacements.
Read more about setting up product ranges in the manuals Setting automatic replacements on products and Automatic Replacements - Category Settings in Stores.
- Generate Replacements Automatically - if you want to use automatic replacements, you need to have this attribute checked.
Store properties can also be edited in bulk - just select the stores, click the Edit Marked button above the table and select Edit Attribute, click Next, then select the desired attributes on the left and edit their value on the right. Click OK to complete the settings.
- Available Products - if you have a limited list of products at a store, just set these products to this attribute and only these available products will be taken into account when replacing.
- Restricted Products - if there are some products which are restricted at a particular store, these products will not be taken into account when determining replacements.
