Notification Settings
Quant enables you to create your own look of all notifications sent to the user’s e-mail addresses. The notifications can be set up in the Notifications section.
This manual describes what you need to set up for notifications to work. Basically, there are 3 steps:
- Mailserver Setting: Setting up your own mailserver or Office365.
- Notification Setting: In the basic settings, you need to enable the notification (checkbox Enabled), set the Subject (subject of the email), notification times , and fill in which users you want to notify in the Users to Notify field. You can then edit the notification design, which is preset.
- User Setting: Untick the Disable Email Notifications checkbox in the user settings.

Mailserver Setting
To use notifications, you have to set your mailserver in Quant.
You can find the Mailserver setting in menu: Options - Mail Server Settings.
Mailserver Settings
If you are using Office365 as a MailServer, it is possible to use OAuth2t for higher security, i.e. in the mailserver settings select the Microsoft Exchange option. To enable this method you need to register Quant in your company's Microsoft Azure. Contact our support team for detailed settings.
Microsoft Exchange
For a more detailed explanation of how to register Quant in Microsoft Azure AD and set up a Microsoft Exchange mailserver, see the Setting up Entra for Connecting Quant to an Office365 Mail Server guide.
Notification Setting
The Notifications section gives you an overview of all available notifications. You can see their sending records.
Notification Section
In the Notifications / Notification Settings section, you can always see all the notifications you've added in the table - that is, those that have been edited in the past. However, this does not mean that all these notifications are turned on and are sent. If you want to turn on a notification, you need to check the Enabled checkbox in the property pane on the right and set which users should be sent notifications in the Users to Notify row, or set other properties of the notification (times when the notification should be sent, the email subject...).
You can then see the preview for the notification in the bottom right. Quant offers a default look for each notification, but you can always edit it in the editor after opening the notification.

You can add the same type of notification multiple times to the table in the Notifications / Notification Settings section, and in the Users to Notify field, set who should receive the notification. This will allow you to set up different looks for different groups of users.
If you want to see what the notification looks like first, you can just send it to your email by clicking the Send Test button and filling in the email you want to send the notification to.

Notification Setting on Users
In the Users section, you can enable or disable all or only certain notifications for each user.
By default, the Disable Email Notifications checkbox is checked for each newly created user, so if you set up notifications, they won't be sent to anyone until you uncheck the box. At the beginning of testing and setting up notifications, we recommend that you test e-mail notifications on one test user on which you uncheck this box. Then uncheck it on everyone else.
How to disable notifications for a specific user?
- In the Users section, in the Disabled Notifications row, you can check the specific notifications that you do not want the selected user to receive.
- Or you can disable all email notifications on a user by checking the Disable Email Notifications checkbox.
