Component Blocks

In the Store Editor, you can save existing fixture or fixture blocks to various libraries in the Component Blocks tab. This allows you to reuse saved blocks and easily insert them into different floor plans.

In this manual you will find:

  1. How to add a new component block to Component Blocks tab?
  2. How to insert a saved component block into the floor plan?
  3. How to manage libraries for fixture blocks?
  4. How to mark a component block as favourite?

Use the Blocks section in the left toolbar to create and insert components.

You can find saved component blocks in the right toolbar of the Component Blocks tab.

How to insert a saved block of components into the floor plan?

You can easily insert any block from the Component Blocks tab into the floor plan. Therefore, if you have the same groups of fixtures in different stores, you save these groups in the Component Blocks tab and then you can paste them to other stores without having to recreate the entire group of fixture.

There are two ways how to activate insert mode:

  1. Double-click on the fixture block in the Component Blocks tab.
  2. In the left toolbar, click on the Insert Component Block icon, or press I and select the block you want to paste in the Component Blocks tab.

Then just click on the floor plan where you want to paste the component block.

To exit insert mode, press ESC.

Libraries

You can sort individual component blocks into different libraries. We recommend this especially if you plan to store a large number of blocks in the Component Blocks tab. You can then sort them, for example, according to their size or according to different types of fixtures.

Libraries

Each time you create a new block of components, you can add this block to the library (see this figure).

If you want to change the library for an existing added block in the Component Blocks tab, click on the Edit button and set there which libraries the selected block should belong to.

Library settings for an added block

You can view the component blocks belonging to a specific library by selecting the library.

Selection of libraries

One component block can belong to more than one library.

Favourite blocks

You can mark frequently used blocks as "Favourites" and then select "Favourites" in the library selection to see these component blocks.

Favourite components blocks

You can delete a block from the Component Blocks tab by clicking on the Delete button.

If you want to change the name of the block or include it in another library, click on the Edit button.
