Selection Tool
In the Store Editor, you often need to select one or more objects in floor plan. This manual shows the tool that allows you to select objects, and describes the different selection options.
The Selection tool is always activated unless another tool is activated in the Store Editor. Thus, when you exit an action using ESC, this automatically activates the selection tool.
Simple selection
You can select an object in the floor plan by left-clicking on it. The selected object can be recognized by its blue border.
If you want to select multiple objects, you can use SHIFT+click on the objects.
Box selection
This selection is mainly used when you need to select several objects at once. Just draw a box around them, and the objects inside the box will be selected.
- Make sure that you do not have any other tool activated than the selection tool.
- Specify the first point of the box with the first click.
- Specify the second point of the box with the second click.
- The objects inside the box will be selected.
Box selection modes
1. Left to right
If you draw a box around objects from left to right, only those objects that are entirely inside the box you are drawing will be selected.
The box is blue when you draw it.
2. From right to left
If you draw a box around objects from right to left, all objects that are inside the box are selected without having to be there with their entire contents. So you only need to touch the object partially.
The rectangle is green when you draw it.
Once you click, the selection is lost.
