Published Planogram Document Template

The Published Planogram Document Template is used to plan the design of document for exporting a PDF of a published planogram (e.g. in the life cycle in the Project Editor, on the web when exporting prepared, waiting or implemented planograms...).

The document template consists of different pages. As an example, a typical PDF can start with a page with a preview of the whole section. This is followed by a page with a preview of a specific planogram, and then another page with a table of the products that are located in that planogram.

We manage the pages in the Document Template Editor on the right side on the Pages tab. This tab consists of several sub-tabs representing specific document units (Document Start, Section Start, Segment, Section End, and Document End) where specific document pages are later created.

It is not necessary to use all the subtabs that Quant offers. However, it is also possible to create multiple pages in each subtab if needed.

How to add a new page?

  1. On the Pages tab, select the tab to which you want to add a new page.
  2. Click on the + button to add a new page.
  3. You can then set the page properties.

Adding a new pageYou can copy or remove the created page. If you have multiple pages in one tab, you can change their order using the up and down arrows.Editing pages

Page properties
    • Name: Set the name of the page here. This is especially useful if you have more than one page in one tab, so you know at a glance which page it is. Otherwise, this name is shown nowhere.
    • Paper: Here you can choose the size of the paper, or its orientation in portrait or landscape.
    • Margins: You can set the top, bottom, left and right margins of the page.

Page properties

In the following part of the manual you will find an overview of all available pages and a description of what they are used for.

Document Start

This is the opening page of the document, which is not repeated. You can think of it as the cover of a book or the opening page of a thesis.

Document Start

Section Start

These are pages related to a section = a group of planograms that form a section. Insert here all the pages that should be related to the whole section and should appear before the pages related to the specific segment. These can be:

    • preview of the whole section (Planogram component)
    • table with products that are in the section (Planogram Table component)

A section usually consists of several segments (planograms). If a section has e.g. 3 segments, this page appears only once in the document, always before these segments.

Section Start

Segment

It is one specific segment = planogram. Insert here all the pages that are to be related to only one specific segment. It can be:

  • planogram preview (Planogram component)
  • a table with the products placed in the planogram (Planogram Table component)
  • combination of product table and planogram preview on one page
  • fixture preview (Fixture component)
  • combination of planogram preview and fixture preview with measurements  on one page
  • planogram highlights (Planogram component)

Each segment (planogram) for which a PDF is downloaded will have its own page corresponding to the design in the Segment tab.

Segment - planogram preview

Segment - product table

Section End

Again, these are pages related to the section. Insert here all the pages that should be related to the whole section and should appear after the pages related to the specific segment.

Document End

You can insert a page at the end of the document that is not repeated and just closes the document (e.g. contact information).

Let's go back to our example from the introduction. We want to create a PDF containing 3 parts:

  1. Preview of the whole section = create a page on the Section Start subtab and add the Planogram component to it.

  1. Preview of a specific segment (planogram) = create the first page on the Segment subtab, to which we add the Planogram component.

  1. Table with products of the planogram = create a second page on the Segment subtab, to which we add the component Product Table.
