How to send Quant logs to Quant support?
When you encounter an error message in Quant, you can be instructed to send logfiles to Quant support. In this manual you will learn how to proceed in this case.
The following approaches are applicable:
- Sending logs from Quant, if you can log into Quant.
- Sending logs via e-mail, if you cannot log into Quant and know where Quant is installed.
- Sending logs via e-mail, if you cannot log into Quant and don't know where Quant is installed.
1. Sending logs from Quant, if you can log into Quant.
If you encounter an issue, however you can still log into Quant, you can access the logfiles directly from Quant.
In the top menu, select Help / Send latest logs to support.
2. Sending logs via e-mail, if the you cannot log into Quant and know where Quant is installed.
If you encounter an issue, and are unable to log into Quant, you will have to find the logfiles in your computer. If you know where you have Quant installed, you will open the respective folder. In this folder you can find a folder named "log". Create a zip file from it and send the file via e-mail to [email protected].
3. Sending logs via e-mail, if you cannot log into Quant and don't know where Quant is installed.
If you encounter an issue, and moreover are unable to log into Quant, you will have to find the logfiles in your computer. If you don't know where you have Quant installed, you will have to search for it in Start/Finder.
Type "Quant" in the search field, then via right click open the folder location.
Then, in the folder where Quant is located, open the file location and find the location of the logs.
In the folder, where you have installed Quant, you can find a file named "log". Create a zip file from it and send the file via e-mail to [email protected].
