Products Cumulation in PDF for Section with Joined Shelves

In the case of more complex sections, the product table in the PDF export of the planogram can be configured in different ways to determine whether and how the products will be cumulated in the table. The section can be grouped as a single unit and then the product table can be viewed in different ways.

What will you learn in this manual?

  1. How to group separate planograms by section name?
  2. How to activate product cumulation in PDF export table?
  3. What is planogram cumulation?
  4. What is product cumulation on shelves?
  5. Where you set up joined shelves for cumulation across segments?
  6. What does product cumulation by block look like?

Planogram grouping by section name

The purpose of grouping the planogram by name is to preview the section planogram as a single unit. In the PDF file, the entire planogram will be displayed first, i.e. all segments side by side. In the product table, the products will be sorted one shelf at a time by each segment (see picture).

Group planogram by section name
Procedure

1. Set the Section Name and number the positions of each segment. In our case, the name of all 3 segments is Seg, the positions in the section are 1, 2, 3.

2. In the User Preferences, in the Planogram PDF Content table, enable the Group Planograms by Section Name checkbox.

If you do not activate the Group Planograms by Section Name option, the PDF file will contain a preview of the section, followed by a preview of the first segment and its product table, then the second segment with its product table, etc.

Cumulation of products in a table in PDF export

It is possible to set different sorting or cumulation methods for the product table to get different views of the product table. You can set the cumulation level in the Options / User Preferences / Planogram PDF Design / Product Table Configuration menu.

In the product table, products will be sorted sequentially from top to bottom by segment. If products occur in more than one place throughout the section, they are added to the row of their first occurrence.

Cumulation Shelf

When shelves are cumulated, the same products are counted on one shelf. The shelves can be arranged in 2 directions:

1. Vertically: the shelves will be sorted from top to bottom (or from bottom to top depending on the Shelf numbering in the Global Settings menu), in the product table the products of the first segment will be first, then the second, then the third.

2. Horizontally: section shelves can also be linked horizontally across segments using the Joined shelves function. In the product table, the products will be sorted by the names of the joined shelves. If products occur multiple times on the same linked shelf, their occurrences will be added together.

How do you set up linked shelves to cumulate across segments?

To group products in a table in a PDF file, you need to fill in the Joined Shelf Name. The shelves for which we want to group products must have the same name in all segments (see image).

Cumulation Block

In block cumulation, all occurrences of a product block are listed in the product table and sorted by shelf order. If a block occurs multiple times on one shelf, it will be listed separately each time. On the other hand, if a block is set to repeat multiple packs, it is listed as 1 block.

The ordering of the blocks in the shelves is also possible in 2 directions as in the Shelf cumulation:

1. Vertically: the shelves will be ordered from top to bottom (or bottom to top depending on the Shelf Numbering in the Global Settings menu), in the product table the product blocks of the first segment will be first, then the second, finally the third.

2. Horizontally: section shelves can also be linked horizontally across segments using the Joined shelves function.

Cumulation None

If you select Cumulation None, the products in the PDF export table will be listed sequentially, neither products nor blocks will be added. The order of the products will be by shelf, again in the vertical direction or in the horizontal direction if using Joined Shelves.
