Planogram Generator
You can use the Planogram Generator tool to create a planogram. This tool will generate a planogram template based on your settings.
How to generate a planogram automatically?
- Activate the Generate Planogram tool in the toolbar on the left (keyboard shortcut G).
- Set the criteria to generate the planogram in the Tool tab.
- Press ENTER or click the Apply button on the Tool tab.
Criteria
Generation is based on sales data and other attributes that you can set in the Tool tab:
Group By
Here you can select the attribute by which products will be grouped (e.g. you can group products from the same brand).
Sort By
Products can be sorted, for example, by product height.
Eye Level
The eye level determines which shelf is considered the most important and where the planogram generator will therefore try to put the best products.
Vertical Blocks
Check this option if you want to have one product placed underneath on all shelves.
Maximum Packages Height
Here you specify the maximum number of packages that can be placed vertically.
Sales Type
Here you select which sales data the generator should use.
- Store - the sales data for the specific store for which the planogram is generated will be taken into account.
- Benchmark - the benchmark sales data will be taken into account, i.e. the average calculated from the sales sets defined in the sales data for the given project.
- Template - the average of sales data calculated from stores that appear in the same project hierarchy node will be taken into account.
Value Type
Here you select by which sales value the planogram should be generated (profit, sold pieces, turnover...).
For more information about how to set up sales data for a project, see Sales Data Settings in the Project Editor.
Use Category Products
You can choose whether you want to fill the planogram with products from a given category.
Products
If you have a fixed list of products that you know you want to place in the planogram, you can copy and paste them into this field. In this case, the Use Category Products box must be unchecked. A simple approach is to have, for example, the product IDs in Excel and copy paste them via advanced selection.
Include C Products
Here you determine whether C products, i.e. the harder to sell products, should also be placed. If the box is unchecked, Quant will only place A and B products. You can set up the ABC analysis in the Project / Sales Data Settings menu.
If you are generating a planogram based on a fixed list of products without the products having sales, you need to check the Include C Products checkbox.
You can save the criteria you use frequently in the library so you don't have to set them up again every time.
